Let's not pretend this song was only about black women. This song was inspired by the Civil rights movement for black men, women and children.

For anyone who has recorded music, that is clearly the default metronome click track in the background. Love it.

I haven't cared for most of Beyonce's songs just a few, I like Love on Top and Listen and her duet with Ed Sheeran. But I've always thought she's insanely talented and beautiful. This one isn't my favorite, maybe it'll grow on me, but I really like the visual that's used.

My favourite Beatles song & I can't stop listening to Beyonce's version. Absolutely beautiful.
@shortstarwarsessays1842 Says:
This is exactly what i expected when i saw the title, over extending notes for no reason, overlapping vocals when its unnecessary, and no reason to listen to this over Paul McCartney a vomplete waste of everyones time.

I remember here in the UK, the TV News Media showed MLKs, 'I Have A Dream !' speech. I remember being puzzled that Black people in the US, ' the land of the free!' didnt have equal rights. Im in my 60s now, it surprises me even more that nearly 60 years after, black people in the US are still fighting in places for equality, like these black Country Singers not being recognised by Nashville? Why? They are country singers arent they, what does their colour matter? We have white Soul singers! Of course we know the lyric is really, "Black Girl singing in the dead of night take these broken wings and learn to fly all your life you were waiting for this moment to arise." That makes sense, genius Paul McCartney making it sound so innocent to those that dont know. Im a Beatles fan from the 1960s, I rarely like covers as they are rarely as good as the original. In my view. However the backing singers do a really good job and I found myself thinking how the Beatles would have done it ... if they had, possibly, like this. Its a good effort by Beyonce and the Country singers telling Nashville to wise up. I hope it works. The song sounds good the backing singers did a great job, it may grow on me, the more I hear it. However why the extra i in the blackbird title. Is there a reason? cause it doesn't make sense to me.

He has given like 5 different reasons why and for whom this song was composed. He’s a genius but the civil rights thing is just yarn spinning.

I'm a bit surprised it's such an on-the-nose cover. But it's nicely done.

I've heard so many people talk crap about this redo, ... well I thought it was absolutely wonderful. Beyonce did the song Justice and made it her own.
@MoMo-sr5zl Says:
This song makes me cry-in the darkness, I can see the light. Her voice contains sorrow and brightness. Marvelous👏👏👏

@richardalcocer Says:
OK, a Beatles song. Not Country. Next?
@drbosommd Says:
The main vocal isn't quite right . She really should have redone it from scratch and changed the key by a few semitones. Using McCartneys original guitar was a nicer thought but it leaves her vocal at a weaker part of her range .

@AngryPapaSmurf Says:
Song inspired by his hearing a blackbird, only later did he CHANGE his story and claim it was about civil rights, think he was pandering to the political crowd.
@AngryPapaSmurf Says:
Terrible, pointless rehash, didnt change a thing and macca did it better.
@tonymcgrath700 Says:
Paul McCartney wrote this for Charles Manson telling him to start a race war which will be called Helter Skelter, to start it off 4 members of The Family will go up to Cielo Drive and murder 8 months pregnant Sharon Tate and 4 others who happened to be there in a most grisly way.. the love and peace sixties ended a few months early in August 😔
